- Arrive at 9 AM
- Unwind from flight in Santiago
- Spend night in Santiago
- Dec 27th
- 11:05 AM – 1:05 PM flight from Santiago to Calama
- Pick up car rental and drive from Calama airport to San Pedro (1.5 hours)
- Moon Valley tour from 3:30 to 8 PM
- Star Gazing tour from 9:30 PM to 11:45 PM
- Spend night in San-Pedro
- Dec 28th
- 7:30 AM Full day tour in Atacama Desert
- Flamingos, Lagunas, Salt Flats
- 5:30 PM Drive back to Calama airport (Arrive no later than 7 PM)
- Flight from CLC to SCL (9 PM – 11:30 PM)
- Spend night in Santiago
- 7:30 AM Full day tour in Atacama Desert
Dec 29th, 30th, 31st (Santiago-Chalten)
- Dec 29th Santiago to Chalten Travel Day
- 4PM from Santiago-> El-Calafate (Land 7 PM)
- Rent Car and Drive to El-Chalten (2.5-3 hour drive time)
- Spend night in El-Chalten
- Dec 30th Chalten
- We lost one day (Dec 30th) due to rain, so we visited local restaurants and cafes.
- Dec 31st Chalten
- If you have a car, drive to El-Pillar (20-30 minute drive, SUV is recommend, but not required)
- Make sure you download the trail map from All-Trails (Pretty useful)
- Trek 12 hours round trip to Laguna de Los Tres
Jan 1st (Calafate)
- Drive back to Calafate (Leave before 11 AM)
- Drive to Perito Moreno Glacier (about an hour away from Calafate)
- Arrive at Perito Moreno ticketing office before 6 PM (Entrance fee to enter the park (Approx. 30 USD and 7 USD for students (Carry ID Card))
- Spend night in El-Calafate
Jan 2nd (Calafate – Puerto Natales)
- Enjoy the half day at Calafate (Nice town)
- Take Bus (Busbud/BusSur) to Puerto Natales
- Leave 4:30 PM, Arrive 9:30 PM
- Spend night in Puerto Natales
Jan 3rd (Puerto Natales – Chileno)
- Drive to Las Torres Welcome Center (Pay entrance fee to Torres Del Paine National Park, 3 day pass is approx. 33 USD + tax)
- Trek to campsite (Chileno) (Moderate difficulty about 5-6 KM hike)
- Spend night in Tent in Chileno
Jan 4th (Trek Chileno – Mirador Base Torres – Pt. Natales)
- Start trek to Mirador Base Torres (In Torres Del Paine)
- About 3-4 KM (High difficulty level as the climb is mostly uphill. Its like being on a stepper for 2 hours)
- Spend an hour at the base, head back to refuel at Chilleno and then trek. downhill back to Las Torres Welcome center.
- Drive back to Natales (About 1.5 hour drive)
- Spend night in Natales
Jan 5th, 6th, 7th (Santiago)
- Jan 5th
- 11 AM flight to Santiago
- Relax in hotels, explore Santiago malls
- Jan 6th (Day trip to Valparaiso)
- Took one day rental and went to Valpariaso (About 1 hour drive). Can take public transportation, but not recommended if arriving back late night.
- Spend day exploring Valpariaso and drive back to Santiago
- Jan 7th
- Visit La Chascona (One of Pablo Neruda’s house)
- Costanera Center and SKY lounge for views and sunset
- Shopping (Very good malls in Santiago)
- Spend 3 nights in Santiago
